Holiday Parade (5:30pm)

The Holiday Parade will be held again this year!  Anyone is eligible to have a float within the parade and all interested participants are encouraged to contact the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department to confirm a space within the parade.  Floats will be accepted the day of the parade as space allows.  Floats should meet at the East end of Hydraulic Avenue near the Riverfront Playground starting at 4:45pm with the parade scheduled to begin at 5:30pm.  Floats will be placed within the parade on a first come, first serve basis.

Floats are encouraged to decorate their float with electrical components to help make the parade "Merry & Bright"!  Also, we ask that floats refrain from bringing their own Santa Claus as the City will provide one.

The parade will begin at the Eastern end of Hydraulic Ave near the Riverfront Playground, proceed West down Hydraulic Avenue, and end at Route 47. We ask all parade spectators to view the parade on the North side of Hydraulic Ave along the sidewalk of Riverfront Park. For questions or more information, please contact the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department at 630-553-4357.

Tree Lighting Ceremony

(Immediately After Parade, Approximately 5:45pm)

The Tree Lighting Ceremony is a long-standing Yorkville tradition with Santa Claus lighting a decorated tree within Riverfront Park for the Holiday Season!  The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place immediately after the Holiday Parade at approximately 5:45pm.

Fireworks Show

(Immediately After Tree Lighting, Approximately 6pm)

The Fireworks Show immediately follows the Tree Lighting Ceremony approximately around 6:30pm.  The fireworks will be shot off over the Fox River near Riverfront Park (131 E Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville).
