Kick off the holiday season with this fun, family event at the Circle Center Grade School's 4th Annual Winter Wonderland Festival at the Circle Center Grade School from 11:00am-3:00pm. The school will be bursting with holiday cheer as they have carnival games, bake sale, shopping circles, concessions, meet and greets with Anna & Elsa, and of course Santa Claus (11am-3pm)!
Most activities and purchases (excluding the shopping circles) require tickets. Tickets can be purchased the day of at the event. For more information or to volunteer for the Winter Wonderland Festival, please email ccgswinterfest@gmail.com. All proceeds generated from the Winter Wonderland Festival goes to the CCGS PTO.
Join the United City of Yorkville at the Holiday Celebration Downtown Events at Riverfront Park for a Holiday Parade starting at 5:30pm. A Tree Lighting Ceremony will follow the parade and end with everyone's favorite, fireworks! The Holiday Parade will be held again this year! Anyone is eligible to have a float within the parade and all interested participants are encouraged to contact the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department to confirm a space within the parade. Floats will be accepted the day of the parade as space allows. Floats should meet at the East end of Hydraulic Avenue near the Riverfront Playground starting at 4:45pm with the parade scheduled to begin at 5:30pm. Floats will be placed within the parade on a first come, first serve basis.
Floats are encouraged to decorate their float with electrical components to help make the parade "Merry & Bright"! Also, we ask that floats refrain from bringing their own Santa Claus as the City will provide one.
The parade will begin at the Eastern end of Hydraulic Ave near the Riverfront Playground, proceed West down Hydraulic Avenue, and end at Route 47. We ask all parade spectators to view the parade on the North side of Hydraulic Ave along the sidewalk of Riverfront Park. The Tree Lighting Ceremony is a long-standing Yorkville tradition with Santa Claus lighting a decorated tree within Riverfront Park for the Holiday Season! The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place immediately after the Holiday Parade at approximately 5:45pm.
(Immediately After Tree Lighting, Approximately 6pm)
The Fireworks Show immediately follows the Tree Lighting Ceremony approximately around 6:30pm. The fireworks will be shot off over the Fox River near Riverfront Park (131 E Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville).

The Chili Chase 5K is back, FOR A CURE! The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with the American Cancer Society for this year's Chili Chase 5K run/walk. A portion of each registration will benefit Hope Fest of Kendall County to help the American Cancer Society save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
