Boys Winter Basketball

BOYS WINTER BASKETBALL LEAGUE OVERVIEW

The Boys Winter Basketball Leagues are designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball in a fun recreational environment. Skills that will be focused on include dribbling, shooting, passing and offensive/defensive principles. There will be a 7-game schedule with games played on Saturdays. Games will not be made up in the event of a weather cancellation. Practices will be held once a week at night (Monday-Thursday) with the day and time dependent on the coach. The registration fee includes a t-shirt, medal and gym supervision. Questions for this league can be directed to our Athletics Team.

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department strive to provide fun and educational athletic leagues and programs in a safe environment. While sports can be competitive in nature, our goal is to keep the level of play fair amongst all teams. We do not guarantee that any team requests made during the registration process are honored and expect that all parents, players and coaches abide by the Parent Code of Conduct.

REGISTER FOR BOYS WINTER BASKETBALL

Registrations for the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department's Boys Winter Basketball Leagues are accepted online at Yorkville.il.us/RegisterBoysBasketball. Registrations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. A $10 late fee will be added to all registrations taken after the designated registration deadline as space allows. RAINOUT LINE GAME CANCELLATION AND PROGRAM UPDATE SYSTEM

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department will share game cancellations and announcements through the RainOut Line online system. Through this update system, you can view the Winter Boys Basketball League status, sign up for text and/or email alerts, or download the mobile app all from your fingertips!

PAYMENT PLANS

Payment plans are available for Winter Boys Basketball Leagues which allows families to split their total registration fees into separate payments. Payments are charged automatically via a credit card provided during the registration process. Payment plan participants must register during the scheduled registration period in order to be eligible to participate. All payment plans are subject to the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Automatic Payment Agreement. Final payments must be made by the scheduled start date of each league in order to avoid suspension or withdrawal from the program. Please pay close attention to the credit card chosen for automatic payment during the registration process as our system DOES NOT automatically delete old or compromised credit cards.
