Youth In-House Recreation Baseball
Join the Yorkville Parks & Recreation Department for this year’s Spring In-House Baseball League! The program is scheduled to begin practices the week of April 3rd and conclude games by July 8th. The Baseball season will include a 13 game schedule. Games will not be made up in the event of a weather cancellation. Practices will be held 2x a week Monday-Saturdays for the first 3 weeks. Partial attire will be included with the registration fee depending on the division. Please note, dates and dynamics for the program are subject to change as needed. Divisions Available (Based on 2022/2023 school year)
Included in Registration Fee:
- T-ball: Jersey & Hat
- Baseball: Jersey, Hat, Socks
- Softball: Jersey, Socks
Coaches will be given catchers equipment, balls, bats and helmets to be utilized and shared amongst the team. Each player should supply their own glove.
- Baseball Pants
- Appropriate sized bat
- Protective cup for boys
- Batting helmet
- Cleats (Baseball: metal cleats are not allowed for grades 6 and below or on pitchers mounds. Softball: No metal cleats allowed)
- Bat(Bats of all barrel sizes are allowed for each division except for the 3rd/4th Grade division. Big barrel bats are allowed up to a maximum 2 5/8” barrel. Please make sure players have a 2 5/8” barrel bat or smaller.)
Payment Plan Information
Payment plans are available for spring athletic leagues which allows families to split their total registration fees into three payments. Payments are charged automatically via a credit card provided during the registration process. The first payment will occur at the time of registration. The second and third(final) payments will occur on February 24th and March 24th for softball and T-Ball through 8th Grade Baseball. Payment plan participants must register during the scheduled registration period in order to be eligible to participate. All payment plans are subject to the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Automatic Payment agreement (for more information go to www.yorkville.il.us/yprautopaymentagreement. Final payments must be made by the scheduled start date of each league in order to avoid suspension or withdrawal from the program. Please pay close attention to the credit card chosen for automatic payment during the registration process as our system DOES NOT automatically delete old or compromised credit cards. When in doubt choose the "Make 3 payments-New Credit Card" option when choosing your payment arrangement.
