Parks & Recreation

Program Cancellation Update as of March, 31

In conjunction with Governor Pritzker’s extension of the Executive Order and to help stop the spread of COVID-19, all in-person programs through the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department will continue to be suspended through May 30. In an effort to continue to keep the community engaged during this difficult time, the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department has created several Virtual Programming opportunities.  Please go to to view all current opportunities and we encourage you to check it regularly as well as our Facebook Page as new programs are being created and highlighted on a regular basis.  We will continue to update the community as decisions are made and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we all navigate this unprecedented situation.

The United City of Yorkville is proud of our parks. Progressive in nature, the Parks and Recreation Department has created an integral system of parks throughout the city, each one having a unique characteristic or theme. Whether it’s high adventure, sunflowers, farms, music, or riding trains, our parks offer it all!
