WELCOME TO YORKVILLE PARKS & RECREATION ATHLETIC LEAGUES

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to providing a variety of athletic opportunities on a year-round basis for adults and kids in a safe and recreational atmosphere. We design our athletic leagues on the principles of teamwork, self-confidence and skill development for everyone. We know that positive experiences through sports and an active lifestyle help build the skills to become better leaders, communicate effectively, and problem solve in a fun, social setting. Yorkville Parks and Recreation offer many adult and youth leagues throughout the year. LEAGUE MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department strives to provide fun and educational athletic leagues and programs in a safe environment. Although sports are competitive in nature, our goal is to keep the level of play fair amongst all teams. We do not guarantee that any requests made during the registration process are honored.

RAINOUT LINE GAME CANCELLATION AND PROGRAM UPDATE SYSTEM

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department will share game cancellations and announcements through the RainOut Line online system. Through this update system, you can view the program status, sign up for text and/or email alerts, or download the mobile app all from your fingertips!

Android and iPhone apps are available. Once downloaded from your phone's app store, search "Yorkville Parks and Recreation" and add as your favorite. Once this is added as a favorite, individual programs can be chosen for updates.

WEATHER SAFETY

Several Yorkville Parks are outfitted with a lightning detection system monitored by Perry Weather. In the event that lightning is detected, one long alarm will blast, and a strobe light will blink. There is a minimum wait time of 30 minutes before the "all clear" is sounded via 3 short blasts. Click here to see the current lightning detection status.

YOUTH SPORT LEAGUES CALENDAR

We know it's easy to forget the dates for league registrations. We've got you covered! The Youth Sport Leagues Calendar is designed to help remind families of league registration dates as well as what leagues are offered throughout the year. Registrations are open for approximately 2-4 weeks depending on the league. To stay updated, please refer to the current catalog and follow the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Facebook page!

VOLUNTEER COACHES

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department is always looking for knowledgeable volunteer coaches for the Youth Soccer, Basketball, Baseball and Softball Leagues. For more information or to volunteer, please contact the Athletics Team.

PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department asks all parents to follow the outlined parent code of conduct when attending any athletic events held by the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department. Please contact the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department with any questions or concerns about the Parent Code of Conduct. 

LEAGUE REFUND POLICY

All refunds for Youth or Adult athletic leagues will receive up to a 75% refund if the cancellation is made prior to the league's scheduled start date. Refunds will be issued for documented medical excuses and will be prorated according to attendance. No refund will be given for an unforeseen change in instructor or building.
