Ready, Set, Go
Activities & Focus
The Ready Set Go Program is designed to introduce children, ages 2-3, to the daily and weekly routine of preschool. Students meet for an hour and 15 minutes each day and class will focus on the children's overall developmental needs by providing a stimulating environment through hands-on experiences and play. The daily curriculum is based on the newly enhanced Future Foxes Preschool, but adapted to meet the needs of this age group. Please note, students do not need to be fully potty-trained to enroll within this program; however, parents must be available for diaper changes as needed.
Ready, Set, Go is for children ages 2 and 3. Participants must be 2 by the start of class.
Program EnhancementsThe Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with Yorkville Community Unit School District 115 for the newly enhanced Future Foxes Preschool for the 2022-2023 School Year. Due to this exciting new partnership, the Ready Set Go program also has some new updates for the 2022-2023 School Year!
This partnership gives both the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department and District 115 the ability to work closely together, share resources and create a curriculum based on the current district standards. This will create a seamless and successful transition from Ready Set Go to Future Foxes Preschool and eventually into Kindergarten!
The Ready Set Go Program will provide a unique experience for both the students and Yorkville High School students who are interested in pursuing education as a career. The classrooms are designed for high school students to explore and gain experience within the education field. Through this partnership, these future educators will gain experience through both observation and by assisting within the classroom under the guidance of staff. This unique opportunity provides a warm and engaging environment for your preschool student to learn and develop.
The Ready Set Go Program will be moving to the current District 115 Athletic/Activities Building located at 702 Game Farm Road, Yorkville. This secure facility will be newly renovated and designed specifically with our student's overall development and safety in mind. This location offers a fenced-in outdoor space and playground to utilize throughout the school year.
