Get ready for a weekend of family fun and excitement at the Yorkville Hometown Days Festival! With so many activities to choose from, there's something for everyone. Bring your competitive spirit to the Pinewood Derby, meet your favorite movie characters, get a thrill on the carnival rides, and watch amazing performances. Don't miss the Ultimate Air Dogs competition or the chance to Strut Your Mutt. Plus, if you're a bookworm, be sure to check out the Friends of the Yorkville Library Used Book Sale. Best of all, most activities are free to participate in, and there are even wristband specials for carnival rides on Saturday and Sunday from 1-5pm ($30/wristband). Don't miss out on the ultimate Labor Day weekend celebration!

ULTIMATE AIR DOGS COMPETITION

Friday - Sunday
Enjoy a spectacular show of courage and athletics from dogs and their owners as they jump off a dock after a frisbee into a pool of water. Come as a spectator or compete with your own dog! 

**Please note that the Ultimate Air Dogs Competition is held outside the main festival grounds, on the east side of the Beecher Park playground. Pets will not be allowed within the main festival grounds unless they are registered service animals with documentation.

More information and competitor registration can be found online at the Ultimate Air Dogs Website or onsite during the festival. All dogs are welcome; they only have to know how to swim. Below are the competitions times; however, exact competition times may vary slightly pending the number of participants. 

  • Friday, August 29 (5:00-7:00pm)
  • Saturday, August 30 (Noon-6:00pm)
  • Sunday, August 31 (Noon-4:00pm)

The free family activities area at Hometown Days is a great place to bring your kids for a fun-filled day at the festival. The area features Giant Checkers, Chalk Board Wall, Lawn Games, and a variety of unique and fun activities including Tour the Eras, Music & Mingle and Minecraft Adventure! Enjoy live music from the main stage while your kids have the time of their lives - FREE OF CHARGE!  It's a perfect way to spend quality time with your family without spending any money.

Come on out for some thrills and fun as DRS Skinners' Amusements is back again in 2025 with a spectacular carnival! The carnival is open on the following days and times:

  • Friday, August 29 (5-10pm)
  • Saturday, August 30 (1-10pm)
  • Sunday, August 31 (1-8:30pm)
Unlimited Ride Wristband Special
Get ready to ride!  Wristband Specials will be available throughout the weekend on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31 from 1-5pm.  Wristbands will be available for purchase for $30 each.  Please note, wristbands are day-specific, and only valid on the day of purchase between 1-5pm.
