Get ready for a weekend of family fun and excitement at the Yorkville Hometown Days Festival! With so many activities to choose from, there's something for everyone. Bring your competitive spirit to the Pinewood Derby, meet your favorite movie characters, get a thrill on the carnival rides, and watch amazing performances. Don't miss the Ultimate Air Dogs competition or the chance to Strut Your Mutt. Plus, if you're a bookworm, be sure to check out the Friends of the Yorkville Library Used Book Sale. Best of all, most activities are free to participate in, and there are even wristband specials for carnival rides on Saturday and Sunday from 1-5pm ($25 each). Don't miss out on the ultimate Labor Day weekend celebration!

ULTIMATE AIR DOGS COMPETITION

Friday - Sunday
Enjoy a spectacular show of courage and athletics from dogs and their owners as they jump off a dock after a frisbee into a pool of water. Come as a spectator or compete with your own dog! 

Register to compete!
Competitor registration is taken online at the Ultimate Air Dogs Website or onsite during the festival. All dogs are welcome; they only have to know how to swim. For more information on the Ultimate Air Dogs Competition, please visit Ultimate Air Dogs' website or contact the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department at 630-553-4357.  Competition times include the following:

  • Friday, September 1 (5:00-7:00pm)
  • Saturday, September 2 (Noon-6:00pm)
  • Sunday, September 3 (1:00-5:00pm)

FAMILY ACTIVITES AREA

Friday - Sunday
The free family activities area at Hometown Days is a great place to bring your kids for a fun-filled day. The area features a bounce house that will keep your kids entertained, and giant checkers that will challenge their minds. Enjoy live music from the main stage while your kids have the time of their lives. It's a perfect way to spend quality time with your family without spending any money.

Come on out for some thrills and fun as DRS Skinners' Amusements is back again in 2023 with a spectacular carnival! The carnival is open on the following days and times:

  • Sunday, September 3 (1-8:30pm)
Unlimited Ride Wristband Special
Get ready to ride!  Wristband Specials will be available throughout the weekend on Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3 from 1-5pm.  Wristbands will be available for purchase for $25 each.  Please note, wristbands are day-specific, and only valid on the day of purchase between 1-5pm.

Don't miss out on the annual Used Book Sale hosted by the Friends of the Yorkville Library! Get ready for a weekend of excitement and discovery as you browse through a vast selection of books an incredible prices. Join us on Saturday from 9am-4pm and Sunday 10am-4pm during Hometown Days, and help support the programs offered through the Yorkville Public Library.
