About the Festival

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS & ATTRACTIONS

Ultimate Air Dogs Competition

 
Enjoy a spectacular show of courage and athletics from dogs and their owners as they jump off a dock after a frisbee into a pool of water. Come as a spectator or compete with your own dog! Competitor registration is taken online at the Ultimate Air Dogs Website or onsite during the festival. All dogs are welcome; they only have to know how to swim. Carnival


The 2022 Carnival is provided by DRS Skinner's Amusements. For more information on DRS Skinners' Amusements please visit their website. Wristband Specials will be available throughout the weekend. Check back for more details. 

Baby Contest

Join the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department for the cutest crowd favorite. The baby contest is an annual tradition that brings in the youngest of crowds.  Participants may register for up to two categories and will be divided up by gender and age (0-9 Months and 10-18 Months).  Categories include:

  • Craziest Hair
  • Biggest Personality
  • Biggest Eyes
  • Chubbiest Cheeks
  • Great Smile
  • Most Teeth  

Yorkville Junior Women's Fall Craft Show


Come out to the Fall Craft Show hosted by the Yorkville Jr. Women's Club.  This two-day event is held in conjunction with Hometown Days and features over 50 craft vendors!  For more information or to become a craft show vendor, please contact the Teresa Wedeen by phone at 630-605-1546 or by

Pride and Joy Car Show


This is a Hometown Days favorite!  The show is hosted by a live DJ and features classic cars of a variety of makes and models.  Register early and save $5 by submitting the registration form(coming soon) to the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department.

The Following Items are not allowed inside the main festival grounds:

  • Skateboards
  • Bikes
  • Rollerblades
  • Pets(Service Animals Permitted)
  • Outside Alcohol
  • Illicit Drugs
  • Weapons
  • Glass Containers
  • Large Umbrellas
  • Tables
  • Filming/Recording Equipment
  • Musical Instruments
  • Signs/Banners of Any Kind
  • Walking Around Promoting a Business/Organization
  • Anything that may cause a safety hazard or interfere with patrons enjoyment of the festival.

The best option for parking is in the designated grass area next to the track.

Vendors

The Parks and Recreation Department is currently looking for vendors and exhibitors for the Annual Hometown Days Festival.  Space is limited so be sure to register early. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the festival. Completed applications will be reviewed by the committee and applicants will receive mail correspondence confirming or denying acceptance to the festival. Applications will be available in February 2020.
