The 2019 Hometown Days Festival is a family-oriented event that provides entertainment for the entire family to enjoy! This year we are excited to bring back past favorites while also bringing in some fun, new attractions and events your family is sure to enjoy including the Ultimate Air Dogs Competition, Big Band & BBQ, Pet Fest, Pride and Joy Car Show, Character Meet & Greets, Hometown Happy Hour, and Ladie's Afternoon Out all while listening to an exciting lineup of Musical Entertainment. FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS & ATTRACTIONS
Ultimate Air Dogs Competition
Enjoy a spectacular show of courage and athletics from dogs and their owners as they jump off a dock after a frisbee into a pool of water. Come as a spectator or compete with your own dog! Competitor registration is taken online at the Ultimate Air Dogs Website or onsite during the festival. All dogs are welcome; they only have to know how to swim. Enjoy 5-B's BBQ Pork and Chicken for $13/Dinner or $25/Two Dinners (5:30-7:30pm) while enjoying a live performance by the Yorkville Big Band (6:30-8:30pm). Carry-out is also available. Friday, August 30 (5:30pm)
Join the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department for the cutest crowd favorite. The baby contest is an annual tradition that brings in the youngest of crowds. This year's baby contest will be held on Friday, August 30th at 5:30pm with registration will beginning at 5:15pm. Participants may register for up to two categories and will be divided up by gender. There will be two age divisions 0-9 months and 10-18 months in the following categories:
- Craziest Hair
- Biggest Personality
- Biggest Eyes
- Chubbiest Cheeks
- Great Smile
- Most Teeth
CarnivalFriday, August 30 - Sunday, September 1
The 2019 carnival is provided by DRS Skinners' Amusements. For more information on DRS Skinners' Amusements please visit their website. A $20 Wristband Special is available from 1pm-5pm on Saturday, August 31st and Sunday, September 1st. Wristbands allow unlimited rides from 1pm-5pm for $20 per rider, per day.

This event is PUUUUUURfect for your favorite furry family member as it includes the Strut Your Mutt Competition, Treat Tasting, Mid-Day Play Zone, visits with Paw Patrol's Ryder, and other fun activities for the entire family! Also, don't forget to check out the Ultimate Air Dogs Show all weekend long!
Strut Your Mutt Competition (11:00am)
Does your pet have the longest ears, best trick, or the most beautiful eyes? Show us why your pet is the best as they compete for the title in fun categories (listed below)! Pets can be entered into two categories and are designated at registration. Registration begins at 10:45am with the competition starting at 11:00am. All pets are welcome; however, must have valid tags and always be on a leash or caged.

Paw Patrol Training with Ryder (11am-2pm)
Paw Patrol is on a roll! Does your child want to become the next Paw Patrol Pup? Join us at Pet Fest on Saturday, August 31 from 11-2pm for your chance to join the Paw Patrol Team! Ryder will be available to meet with children and induct them into the Paw Patrol from 11am-Noon and 1-2pm. Then from Noon-1pm, join Ryder and train like a Paw Patrol Pup!
How Do You See Your Dog? (Noon-1pm)
Ever wonder what your dog is thinking or just how good their etiquette is? Are you ever curious what s/he is trying to tell you? Or how they are feeling? Are dogs TRULY happy when they wag their tails? As someone who reads dog conversations all day long, every day, Lanette from Mid-Day Play will explain the subtle nuances of dog behavior and communication.
Mid-Day Play Zone (1-2pm)
Is your dog bursting with energy and play well with others? If so, for 10 minutes Mid-Day Play will be available to help you understand if your dog is exhibiting appropriate play behavior as they interact with another dog in a fun, controlled and safe fenced in area. All participating dogs must have valid tags.
Other Fun Activities (11am-2pm)
- Puptinis Available: Mid-Day Play will be handing out complimentary Puptinis to all dogs in attendance (while supplies last), so be sure to get your favorite pup a drink!
- Pet Training: K-9 Suburban will be providing training sessions throughout Pet Fest to anyone looking for additional assistance in breaking their pets bad habits.
- Puppy Adoption: Ready to add to your family? Rescued Rascals will have adorable puppies looking for their forever home.

Disney Band and Character Meet & Greets

This is an afternoon you won't want to miss as the young and "young at heart" will enjoy singing along to some of Disney's greatest musical hits performed live by The Little Mermen, a Disney Rock Cover Band, from 1-3pm while meeting some of Disney's most famous characters and other heroes from Noon-3pm.

All in the Family Bags Tournament
Saturday, August 31 (Registration Begins at Noon)
Register for the 1st Annual All in the Family Bags Tournament! The tournament will be held on Saturday, August 31 with registration opening at Noon and the tournament starting at 1pm. The fee is $40 per team and includes 5 tickets for carnival rides, 1 drink ticket for parent (over 21), and 2 food tickets for festival vendors (limited menu). First and second place teams will receive a trophy and bragging rights as the Best Bags Team in Yorkville!
Teams may be formed of father/son, mother/daughter, father/daughter, mother/son, older sibling/younger sibling, aunt/neice, etc. Any combination of adult and child will be accepted. Adults are considered anyone aged 18+ and children must be 17 years or younger. Hometown Happy Hour
Saturday, August 31 (2-6pm)
Join us for the best happy hour in town and delight in a plethora of locally crafted beer on Saturday, August 31 from 2-6pm. For $15/person or $25/couple, participants will taste a variety of eight local craft beers with a souvenir glass and walk away with a full 14oz glass of their choice! Registration and payments are made in cash the day of the event at the Beer Tent. All participants must be 21 years old or older, and able to supply a valid ID.
Dempsey Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Pride and Joy Car Show
Sunday, September 1 (9am-2pm)
The Pride and Joy Car Show brings in over 100 cars annually. The show is hosted by a live DJ and features classic cars of a variety of makes and models.This year's car show will be held on Sunday, September 1st from 9am-2pm in the Beecher Community Center Parking lot. Each car entered in the show is put into a specific category based on make, model, the year it was manufactured, and if it has had any alterations. Register by Wednesday, August 28 and save $5 by going to Yorkville.il.us/Register, or day-of registration is available for $20.
Ladies' Afternoon Out: Wine Tasting
Sunday, September 1 (1-5pm)
Backstreet's Back, ALRIGHT! Join us for an afternoon filled with wine provided by Fox Valley Winery and your favorite Boy Band hits! From 1-5pm Fox Valley Winery will provide a wine tasting with a small selection of both white and red wines. For $5 per person, participants will receive a tasting glass and one (1oz) tasting ticket. Additional tasting tickets are $1 each. Full glasses and bottles of wine will also be available for purchase. A photo ID and cash is required in order to participate in the Wine Tasting.
While you sip on your wine, enjoy listening to your favorite Boy Band hits from Backstreet Boys, Boys 2 Men, N'Sync, New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees and more performed by Boy Band Review from 2-4pm. Grab the gals and get ready for an afternoon of laughs, music and wine!

- Walking Around Promoting a Business/Organization
- Anything that may cause a safety hazard or interfere with patrons enjoyment of the festival.
