Southern Sanitary Sewer Connection

Project Scope:

This project is located along Beecher Road and the BNSF Railroad from Beecher Road to Rob Roy Creek.

This project consists of the installation of approximately 1,959 feet of 12-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sanitary sewer and appurtenances.

The project will involve the installation of new sanitary sewer main, installation of manholes and structures, and connections to the existing sanitary sewer. The installation includes open cut and  trenchless methods of installation, such as bore and jacking, for installation at the BNSF Railway crossing and Rob Roy Creek crossings.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Once the sewer is installed and tested, the roadway will be patched and the landscaped area will be restored. The Contractor will restore any ditches, parkways, and other grassed areas during construction back to their original shape, contour, and condition.

During construction, there may be temporary disruptions to sanitary sewer laterals, traffic, parking and access to properties. All streets within the project limits will be open at all times with the exception of sanitary sewer crossings at Beecher Road.

Story Map Outlining Project

Parkway Restoration:

Residents should be advised that lawn care and maintenance of parkway areas will be necessary to successfully provide a healthy stand of grass before the growing season’s end. The hydro-mulch application is designed to only provide temporary protection for the grass seed, and as such it will be advantageous for residents to establish growth as soon as possible.

Lawn care and maintenance that will facilitate healthy grass germination include the following:

  • Watering seeded areas within a maximum of two days from the last   appreciable rainfall.
  • Mowing of established stands of grass prior to reaching a height of four to five inches
  • Pulling of weeds competing for nutrients

During construction, there may be temporary disruptions to water service, traffic, parking and access to properties.
