Styrofoam Products

Styrofoam Products may be dropped off at:

The outside drop-off center accepts items 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Styrofoam products accepted include:
  • Foam cups and containers
  • Foam egg cartons
  • Rinsed, single layer no-perforated foam meat trays
  • Most packaging foam (molded forms and shapes)
Flame retardant materials and packaging peanuts are not accepted. Call 630-896-4631 or visit the Dart Container website.

Tire/Motor Oil Disposal & Recycling

Motor oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze, and other automotive fluids should not be disposed of in a municipal solid waste landfill. In 1996 motor oil was banned from landfills. These materials can be saved in leak-proof containers and taken to the retailers listed below. Note: Please call to verity the type of fluids recycled and if any fees apply. The oil must be clean. The following fluids are not accepted:
  • Antifreeze
  • Mixtures
  • Other fluids mixed with oil

Lead Acid Batteries
Nickel cadmium batteries (phone batteries and other rechargeable types) may be dropped off between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.:
