Oswego Boundary Agreement

Proposal Description

The United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, is considering an update and renewal of an existing expiring planning boundary agreement with the Village of Oswego. The proposed Boundary Agreement would establish a jurisdictional boundary line in order to enable each municipality to plan the orderly growth and development of their communities by the exercise of their planning, annexation, zoning, and subdivision authority on its side of the boundary line.

Public Hearing

The City Council will conduct a public hearing on the proposed Oswego Boundary Agreement. The public hearing is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the United City of Yorkville, City Hall, located at 651 Prairie Pointe Drive, Yorkville, Illinois 60560. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard. Any written comments should be addressed to the United City of Yorkville Community Development Department, City Hall, 651 Prairie Pointe Drive, Yorkville, Illinois 60560, and will be accepted up to the date of the public hearing.
