Proposed Project

Heather DiVerde, petitioner, on behalf of the Yorkville School District 115, has filed an application with the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, requesting annexation and rezoning classification. The real property consists of three (3) parcels totaling approximately 155-acres and is generally located north of River Road, west of Game Farm Road, and east of Eldamain Road. The proposal aims to rezone the parcels from the R-1 Single-Family Suburban Residence District to PI Public Institutional District to accommodate public school facilities.

Public Hearing

CITY COUNCIL

The public hearing for annexation agreement is scheduled for Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the United City of Yorkville, City Hall, located at 651 Prairie Pointe Drive, Yorkville, Illinois 60560.  Remote attendance will also be available via Zoom. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given opportunity to be heard.  Any written comments should be addressed to the United City of Yorkville Community Development Department, City Hall, 651 Prairie Pointe Drive, Yorkville Illinois, and will be accepted up to the date of the public hearing.

PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

The public hearing for rezoning is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the United City of Yorkville, City Hall, located at 651 Prairie Pointe Drive, Yorkville, Illinois 60560.  Remote attendance will also be available via Zoom. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given opportunity to be heard.  Any written comments should be addressed to the United City of Yorkville Community Development Department, City Hall, 651 Prairie Pointe Drive, Yorkville Illinois, and will be accepted up to the date of the public hearing.

 

NOTE: The schedule of meetings is tentative in nature. If a previous meeting is cancelled or a quorum is not established, then all future meetings will be delayed until the next available meeting date. It is important that each reviewing body gets a chance to review the proposal before advancing to the next meeting.
