Case Number: PZC 2024-07 KELAKA LLC (Annexation and Rezone)

Proposed Project

Green Door Capital, petitioner/contract purchaser, and Kelaka, LLC, owners, has filed applications with the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, requesting annexation and rezoning classification.  The real property is generally located south of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad line, southeast of Faxon Road. The petitioner is requesting annexation and rezoning approval from R-1 Single-Family Suburban Residential District to M-2 General Manufacturing District (contingent on approval of annexation by the City Council) consisting of approximately 148.56 acres. The land is currently undeveloped and used for farming. The purpose of this annexation and rezoning is to allow for future industrial development on the property within City limits pursuant to the terms of that annexation agreement.

Tentative Meeting Schedule

NOTE: The schedule of meetings is tentative in nature.  If a previous meeting is cancelled or a quorum is not established, then all future meetings will be delayed until the next available meeting date.  It is important that each reviewing body gets a chance to review the proposal before advancing to the next meeting.

Public Hearing

The REZONING public hearing is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 7:00 PM at the United City of Yorkville, City Hall, located at 651 Prairie Point Drive, Yorkville, Illinois 60560.  

The ANNEXATION public hearing is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 7:00 PM at the United City of Yorkville, City Hall, located at 651 Prairie Point Drive, Yorkville, Illinois 60560.

Remote attendance will also be available via Zoom. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given opportunity to be heard.  Any written comments should be addressed to the United City of Yorkville Community Development Department, City Hall, 651 Prairie Pointe Drive, Yorkville Illinois, and will be accepted up to the date of the public hearing.
