Deputy Chief of Police - Support Services: Raymond Mikolasek began his law enforcement career in 2004 as a Patrol Officer with the Yorkville Police Department.  Deputy Chief Mikolasek served one year as a School Resource Officer at Yorkville High school during the 2010-11 school year before he was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 2011.  Deputy Chief Mikolasek served as a Patrol Sergeant until 2013 when he was assigned to the position of Detective Sergeant from 2013 to 2018.  Deputy Chief Mikolasek was promoted to his current position in July 2018.  During his career, Deputy Chief Mikolasek has served as a firearms and tactics instructor for the Yorkville Police Department.  Deputy Chief Mikolasek has also served on the Kendall County Major Crimes Task Force (2014-2020) and the Kendall County Special Response Team (2005-2018), where he served as Team Commander (2011-2018).  

Deputy Chief Mikolasek is a 1992 graduate of Minooka High School.  Deputy Chief Mikolasek served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1993 to 1997.  Deputy Chief Mikolasek attended Illinois State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Sciences and Political Science and a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Sciences.  Deputy Chief Mikolasek graduated from the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command in 2013.  Deputy Chief Mikolasek is married with three children.
