Holiday Celebration Weekend – Saturday, November 23rd

The City of Yorkville invites you to kick off the Holiday Season with fun, family events on Saturday, November 23rd!  Start the day at Circle Center Grade School’s 7th Annual Winter Wonderland Festival (901 Mill St, Yorkville) from 11:00am-3:00pm. The school will be bursting with holiday cheer!  There will be carnival games, a bake sale, and free visits from Santa Claus! 
Then head to the City of Yorkville’s Holiday Celebration at Riverfront Park (131 E Hydraulic Ave - Yorkville) for a holiday parade starting at 5:30pm, the tree lighting ceremony immediately after the parade, and then concluding with everyone’s favorite, the FIREWORKS SHOW! Chili Chase 5k For A Cure – Sunday, November 24th

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with the American Cancer Society for the Chili Chase 5K For A Cure scheduled for Sunday, November 24 at 8:30am at the Yorkville American Legion Post #489 (9054 E Veterans Pkwy, Yorkville). A portion of each registration will benefit Hope Fest of Kendall County to help the American Cancer Society save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer. City Offices Closed in Observance of Thanksgiving

City offices will be closed Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for Thanksgiving.  Normal hours will resume on Monday, December 2nd.

Garbage Pick-Up Delayed Due to Thanksgiving

Due to Thanksgiving, garbage pick-up will be delayed by one day this week. For example, if your garbage normally is collected on Thursday, it will be collected on Friday instead. Call Advanced Disposal at 630-587-8282 with any questions.
