[ARCHIVED] Yorkville Parks & Recreation Suspending Recreation Programs

Family cooking out

In conjunction with Governor Pritzker’s order that all schools within the State of Illinois be closed next week, the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department is canceling all recreation programming for the period, Monday March 16 – Monday March 30, 2020. Canceled programs include Preschool, Ready Set Go, All Star Sports, Spring Break Camps, Piano Lessons, etc. to avoid the further spread of COVID-19. Classes scheduled before Monday, March 16 will run as scheduled. Please note that these mandates are precautionary measures as there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 within Kendall County.

Staff will continue to monitor the situation closely and will follow the directives and guidelines set forth by National, State and Local authorities as we determine how to move forward after March 30, 2020. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this difficult time. For questions or concerns please contact the Recreation Department at Recreation@yorkville.il.us
