GC Housing Development LLC is proposing constructing a four-story building for those 55 years old and older. It will contain 74 affordable units plus a manager's unit and is located at the northeast corner of Walnut St. and Freemont St. The proposed development will be eligible for occupancy by residents that meet both the age requirement and are in the 30-60% adjusted income level.
Due to the current zoning of the property, GC Housing Development LLC has filed an application requesting rezoning approval from R-1, Single-Family Suburban Residence District to R-4, General Multi-Family Residence District. A public hearing for the request will be held during the Plan Commission meeting on Wednesday, January 13th at 7 pm at City Hall at 800 Game Farm Road.
Additionally, GC Housing Development has requested a variance to increase the maximum dwellings units per acre to twenty four (24) from the current maximum level of eight (8) as permitted in a R-4, General Multi-Family Residence District. A public hearing for this variance will be held during the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting on Wednesday, January 6th at City Hall at 800 Game Farm Road.
