Halloween Egg Hunt – Saturday, October 5th, 7:00 PM at Town Square Park (301 N. Bridge)

The Annual Halloween Egg Hunt is a twist on an old tradition. Wear a costume, bring your flashlight and a container for eggs, and hunt in the darkness for candy-filled eggs!  This is a free event intended for children 10 and under. Flags of Valor – Monday, November 4th – Monday, November 11th

The Yorkville American Legion Post 489 and the United City of Yorkville invite you to honor our nation and the veterans who have served with the 2019 Yorkville Flags of Valor as American flags are displayed at Town Square starting Monday, November 4th through Monday, November 11th. A flag can be sponsored for $30 and will include a keepsake ribbon and personalized tag to honor a veteran (optional). This is an opportunity to recognize and honor a veteran in your life or support the hundreds of veterans in Yorkville and Kendall County. Everyone is welcome to participate. All proceeds will be donated to the Yorkville American Legion Post 489. Bulk Items/Amnesty Week October 14 - October 18

October 14th – 18th, Advanced Disposal Amnesty Week – White Goods/Bulk Items

The week of October 14th is White Goods/Bulk Items Amnesty Week. This is the second pick-up Advanced Disposal conducts (1 in the spring and 1 in the fall) annually. Please note that all White Goods/Bulk items must be on the curb by 6 a.m. on your regular garbage day. Only 1 pass will be made. During your normal garbage day, you may place out for collection an unlimited amount of white goods and bulk items for no additional charge.
