Hometown Days Festival, August 30 - September 2

The United City of Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department and First National Bank invite you and your family to the 26th Annual Hometown Days Festival over Labor Day Weekend starting Thursday, August 30th and going through Sunday, September 2nd at Beecher Park (908 Game Farm Rd, Yorkville, IL)!  Come all weekend long for your favorite events, carnival rides, food, and musical entertainment the entire family can enjoy!  Festival highlights include the Ultimate Air Dogs Competition, Baby Contest (Friday at 5:30pm), Pet Fest (Saturday from 10-2pm), Live Band Karaoke (Saturday from 4-7pm), Black Dog Distillery Rum and Vodka Tasting (Saturday from 2-5pm), the Dempsey Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Pride and Joy Car Show (Sunday from 9-2pm), Carnival Wristband Specials (Sat & Sun from 1-5pm), and musical entertainment that will keep you dancing and singing all weekend long featuring Hi-Infidelity, 7th Heaven, Dixie Crush, Mike & Joe, and Citizen Way!  For more information and a complete schedule of events go to https://www.yorkville.il.us/459/Hometown-Days-Festival.

Coffee with the Council - September 2nd

Join the City Council for a morning of coffee and conversation during Hometown Days (908 Game Farm Road) Sunday, September 2nd from 9 am to 11 am at the Dempsey Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram Pride & Joy Car Show and the Pancake Breakfast, provided by the Trinity United Methodist Church. Farmer's Market

Farmer's Market

Come to Town Square Park and visit the Yorkville Farmer's Market! The Market runs every Saturday through August 25th from 9 A.M. - 1 P.M. It is stocked with fresh produce and products from local farmers and businesses! Come out and enjoy home grown organic produce, local meats and eggs, local honey, handcrafted items, garden goods, home décor and even get a henna tattoo. Brush Pick-Up, Week of August 27th

Monday, August 27th the City will be starting three of our four annual brush pick-ups.
Here are a few reminders to ensure it gets collected:

  • Have brush out by 7 am Monday morning
  • Stack brush parallel with the curb or street
  • Make sure brush is no larger than 6" in diameter or 10' in length
