City Leaf Pick-Up!

The City Leaf Pick-Up will be in the first half of November. The weeks of November 4th through November 22nd. Please have leaves on the curb by 7am! Please make sure all leaves are loose, un-bagged and free of brush/branches, including debris (no pumpkins, decoration, etc.).

2024 Flags of Valor

The Yorkville American Legion Post 489 invites you to honor our nation and all the veterans who have served with the Yorkville Flags of Valor as American flags will be displayed at Town Square during the week of Veterans Day. Flags will be displayed at Town Square (301 N Bridge, Yorkville) starting November 4 through November 15. This is an opportunity to recognize and honor a veteran or first responder in your life or support the hundreds of veterans in Yorkville and Kendall County. Everyone is welcome to participate. All proceeds will be donated to the Yorkville American Legion Post 489.

City Offices Closed in Observance of Veterans Day, No Garbage Delay

City offices will be closed Monday, November 11th for Veterans Day. Garbage collection will run on a normal schedule for the entire week.

Kick off the holiday season with the Yorkville Holiday Celebration on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23! This two-day celebration provides fun and holiday cheer for the entire family! 

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22

  • YPAC Performances (6:00-6:15pm)
  • Yorkville High School Madrigal Singers (6:15-6:30pm)
  • Parade Along Hydraulic Avenue (6:30pm)
  • YPAC Santa Dancers (6:55pm)
  • Tree Lighting Ceremony (Immediately After Parade)

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23

  • Visits with Santa at the Yorkville American Legion (10:30am-1:30pm)
  • Jingle Jog Fun Run (2:30pm) – Race registration still available at Yorkville.il.us/RudolphRun 
  • Rudolph Run 5K (4pm) – Race registration still available at Yorkville.il.us/RudolphRun 
  • Fireworks Show (6:30pm)

Please note all events hosted as part of the Yorkville Holiday Celebration are held in various locations throughout Yorkville. We have a very limited number of additional shirts for the Yorkville Holiday Races available for those who register quickly. Sizes are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Join us for the Yorkville Holiday Races on November 23, part of the Holiday Celebration weekend on November 22 & 23. This is more than just a race – it's a family experience you can't miss! Choose between the Rudolph Run 5K, a professionally chip-timed race, and the Jingle Jog Family Fun Run (1-mile). Walkers and runners are welcome for both races, making it an event for everyone. Are you ready to go walking in a winter wonderland? The United City of Yorkville is thrilled to announce a charming new tradition for the 2024 Holiday Season!  Introducing the Deck the Trees Holiday Walk; an enchanting display of beautifully decorated trees nestled in the heart of Town Square Park (301 N Bridge St, Yorkville)!  Each tree will be illuminated and then decorated by local businesses, community organizations, or families from right here in Yorkville, and displayed in Town Square from December 2 through the New Year. Come and walk through the beautiful snowflake arches at Town Square and enjoy the beauty of the 30 trees along the path.
