Yorkville Public Library Mini golf FUN Raiser –Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 10am – 4pm at the Library (902 Game Farm Road)

Looking for a fun way to stay warm while you get out of the house? Look no further than the Yorkville Public Library Mini Golf FUN Raiser on Sunday, February 4 from 10am-4pm! With 18 uniquely themed holes of mini golf played inside the library, this event will have golfers of all ages swinging for joy. At only $5 per golfer for one round of mini golf, it's an affordable way to have a blast while supporting a great cause. All proceeds from the event go towards purchasing books for the library and funding free programs at the library throughout the year through the Friends of the Yorkville Public Library. Don't miss out on this opportunity to have a great time while supporting your local library. Join us for some fun and get ready to golf for a great cause! Individual tickets are required for each golfer. Each ticket is good for one player to enjoy one round of mini golf. Additional mini golf tickets and raffle tickets can be purchased in-person at the Yorkville Public Library before and during the event. All ticket sales are final for the Mini Golf FUN Raiser. Registration Now Open for Youth In-House Recreation Baseball and Softball Leagues!

The Spring In-House League is designed to give children the opportunity to play baseball and softball by experiencing both practice and game play. Players should expect games to be primarily held on Saturdays with the possibility of weeknight games (Monday-Thursday) as well. Teams will be designed to distribute age and experience levels amongst teams, volunteer coaches will be needed. The spring season is focused on skill improvement, learning the rules of the game, and to build a desire to keep playing into the future. 2024-2025 Future Foxes Preschool and Ready Set Go Programs – Registration Begins Monday, January 22nd!

Registration for current Future Foxes Preschool and Ready Set Go students begins Monday, January 8 at 8am and all new students on Monday, January 22 at 8am. FUTURE FOXES PRESCHOOL

The Future Foxes Preschool focuses on your child’s overall developmental needs by providing a stimulating environment through hands-on experiences that improve creativity, develop a positive self-image, foster language, science, and mathematics development, and sharpen fine and gross motor skills. Your child will discover play and sharing while developing emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually. The curriculum is based off the Yorkville School District 115 standards and designed to prepare children for a successful transition to Kindergarten while fostering a love for school and learning. READY SET GO PROGRAM

The Ready Set Go Program is designed to introduce children, ages 2-3, to the daily and weekly routine of preschool. Class will focus on the children’s overall developmental needs by providing a stimulating environment through hands-on experiences and play. The daily curriculum is based on the Future Foxes Preschool but adapted to meet the needs of this age group. Our goal is to create a welcoming and safe space for your child to confidently grow socially and emotionally with their peers while reinforcing basic educational skills including letter, number, color, and shape recognition. Winter weather has already begun! Get ready to enjoy the great outdoors this winter and have some fun in the snow! Did you know that there are 6 different sledding hills throughout Yorkville for you to explore? When the snow gets just right, take a trip down each hill, and let us know which is your favorite! Can you make it to all 6 this season?

The criteria for mailbox replacement are as follows: 

  • Only mailboxes that are struck directly by a city vehicle or piece of equipment will be eligible for replacement. 
  • Damage caused by snow will not be eligible for replacement.

Please do not allow children to play in snow piles left by snowplows on the sides of street or in cul-de-sacs. Building forts in these areas can have serious consequences when snow removal equipment is in use. Please stay safe!

Snow Parking Regulations

Snow Parking Regulations

Parking on city streets in the United City of Yorkville is prohibited after a snowfall of more than 2 inches. Residents are reminded that parking is banned for 24 hours after the snowfall has ended. Any vehicles parked on city streets are in violation of a city ordinance and may receive a $50 citation.  Thank you for your cooperation during these winter months.
