City Leaf Pick-Up Reminder

Public Work crews are expected to go back through the northside of town the week of November 15th.

They are expecedt to go back through the southside of town the week of November 22nd.

Reiterating – it is extremely helpful to our Public Works crews for you to pile your leaves at the curb whenever they fall. Or, if you want guaranteed leaf pickup, please bag your leaves and place them at the curb on your normal garbage day.

Virtual Private Visits with Santa

Don’t miss out on seeing Santa this year! The Yorkville Parks & Recreation Department is offering your family the chance to have a private and interactive visit with Santa all from your home! For $15/Family, you will enjoy a 15-minute virtual encounter with Santa to share your wish lists. Visits will be available on Friday, December 3rd and Friday, December 10th between 5-8pm. Youth Basketball Proram Registration Now Open!

Basketball is back! The Yorkville Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce we will be hosting a Youth Basketball Program this Winter at Cross Church in Yorkville! The season will run on Saturdays only from January 22 – March 5 (No Feb 5). Teams will meet for an hour with the specific time dependent on the division. Teams will have a combination of practices and scrimmages throughout the season. Divisions and fees are listed below and based off the current grade. Grinch Goo-Tastic Slime, Thursday, November 18th

Join Lisa Lombardi for a Slimetastic Time during Grinch-Goo Tastic Slime class scheduled for Thursday, November 18th from 5-6pm. This Grinch inspired evening will have a concoction lab including all the colors of Christmas! Grinch hearts and “ornaments” will be mixed in along with winter scents that will make kids feel like they are in the Grinch story! Powerful Grinch life coaching lessons regarding kindness, empathy, resilience, and happiness are peppered throughout this fun class. This class is for ages 6-13 years old and costs $27 for residents and $32 for non-resident and will be held at the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department (201 W Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville). You won’t want to miss this great social opportunity for your kids to make new friends in a gooey and slimy way. City Offices Closed in Observance of Thanksgiving

City offices will be closed Thursday, November 25^th and Friday, November 26^th for Thanksgiving. Normal hours will resume on Monday, November 30^th.

Garbage Pick-Up Delay Due to Thanksgiving

Due to Thanksgiving, garbage pick-up will be delayed by one day due to Thanksgiving. For example, if your garbage normally is collected on Thursday, it will be collected on Friday instead. Call Waste Management at 630-587-8282 with any questions.
