Independence Day Celebration - Saturday, July 3rd

Join us for a fun packed day with a festive parade, activities at Town Square Park, and fireworks on Saturday, July 3rd. **Please note: Due to the July 4th falling on a Sunday this year, the celebration will be held on SATURDAY JULY 3^rd. This is a free community event with food and drinks available for purchase.
Schedule of events:
-           Parade (Yorkville High School Parking Lot)
•          Line-up: 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM
•          Begins: 9:00 AM
-           Town Square Park Activities:
•          Begin immediately after the parade ends – 1:00 PM
-           Fireworks (Corner of Rt 47 & Countryside Pkwy – South of Menards):
•          Begin at DUSK!

Electronic Recycling

The City's garbage and recycling provider Advanced Disposal will collect electronics for recycling! This is a call-in service free of charge to Yorkville residents. To schedule a pick-up, you may call Advanced Disposal's Customer Care number at 630-587-8282 or email them at BataviaIL@AdvancedDisposal.com. A friendly reminder that sod laying, lawn seeding, and the planting of other landscaping for the establishment of a new lawn or new landscaping is prohibited from July 1st through August 31st of each year, unless the source of watering for said sod, lawn seeding and/or planting of landscaping is derived from a private well, imported water source or means other than any municipal water source.
