50/50 Tree Program Deadline - September 13th

The 50/50 Tree Program orders must be received by Friday, September 13, 2019. Through the 50/50 Parkway Tree Program, the United City of Yorkville shares the cost of planting trees with homeowners. Residents simply choose the tree they want and send in a check for the cost listed on the order form. The City does the rest. This program will continue on an annual basis, and planting will occur at the fall of each year. The Parkway Tree Program is intended to provide quality shade trees to residents within the City to be planted within the rights-of-way along the streets and corridors throughout the City. To participate in the program, download and mail the 50/50 Parkway Tree Application Form (PDF) along with payment, or stop by City Hall at 800 Game Farm Road, Yorkville, IL. Development Update

The 2019 summer construction season was active for Yorkville. Between May 1st and August 26^th, the City has issued a total of 56 new single-family residential permits, with high volumes in the Grande Reserve and Prestwick at Ashley Pointe subdivisions. New commercial construction is heating up as well with permits issued for the following businesses:

Openings of commercial projects under construction or consideration by the City Council are also on the horizon and include Target’s (interior remodel renovation) in Kendall Marketplace and Lenny’s Gas N Wash planned new gasoline station and convenience store north of Raging Waves Waterpark on IL Rte. 47 (Bridge Street). More renovations, new commercial construction and change of occupancies of existing commercial buildings are also expected in 2019-2020.
