The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department’s Summer Catalog is now available and is filled with camps, classes, leagues and special events that will keep your family entertained all summer long! Registration begins Wednesday, May 1 for Yorkville Residents and Monday, May 6 for nonresidents. To view the catalog and all the fun that’s in store this summer, go to Yorkville.il.us/register. The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department website, Yorkville.il.us/register, is mobile friendly! You can now register for special events, programs, and camps right from your smart phone.

Park Snapshot – Riemenschneider Park

This park is located at 600 Hayden Drive and includes a Water Feature/Spray Park that opens Memorial Day weekend! The park features a Firefighter theme and includes baseball fields, a playground, a picnic area with a shelter, a trail and open space. To activate the water feature, hold your hand over the top of the fire hydrant and wait for the water to start spraying! We hope everyone gets out there to enjoy Yorkville parks!

Building Permit/Inspections Available On-line!

Residents, contractors, business owners, etc. can apply online for permits, submit documents, schedule inspections and track the status of their request through the review process from their smart phone or computer here: http://www.yorkville.il.us/627/Building-Permit-and-Inspection-Request. Users can create an account allowing them the ability to apply online for nearly fifty (50) types of residential or commercial permits ranging from pool installation, decks, patios and roofs to new construction, additions, change of occupancy and signs. Applicants can also request and schedule building inspections for open permits through the web-portal and receive an email of the results.
