The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department’s Summer Catalog is now available and is filled with camps, classes, leagues and special events that will keep your family entertained all summer long including Horse Riding Camps, All Star T-Ball League, PreK Adventures, Princess Picnic, Chicago Bulls Basketball Camp, Guitar Lessons, and Family Movie Nights! Registration begins Tuesday, May 1 for Yorkville Residents and Monday, May 7 for nonresidents. To view the catalog and all the fun that’s in store this summer, go to Yorkville.il.us/register. PeppeRUNi 5k - Saturday, May 12th

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the 2018 PeppeRUNi 5K is scheduled for Saturday, May 12! This race starts and ends at the Yorkville Rosati’s Pizza and Pub (1985 Marketview Dr, Yorkville) and begins at 8:00am. Pre-registration is encouraged and will cost $25 (includes t-shirt). Pre-registration can be taken in person (800 Game Farm Road, Yorkville), by phone (630-553-4357), or online (www.yorkville.il.us/register)! Day-of registration will be accepted between the hours of 7:00am-7:45am on Saturday, May 12 for $35 (includes t-shirt as supplies last). All participants will receive a slice of pizza, t-shirt, and the top female and male finishers will receive a free pizza a month for a year!

Party for the Path - Saturday, May 12th

Join the United City of Yorkville as we celebrate the completion of the Kennedy Road Multi-Use Path and the several safe, recreational opportunities it will provide the Yorkville community for years to come! The event is free and open to anyone, and is intended to celebrate the hard work and generosity the Yorkville community and businesses donated to make this path a reality! Participants are encouraged to meet at the Steven G Bridge Park (3651 Kennedy Rd, Yorkville) at 10am to bike, walk, or run down the Kennedy Multi-Use Path starting around 10:15am. Participants will then stop at the Darlene McCue Path Entrance located on the corner of Bristol Ride Road and Kennedy Road for a short ceremony. Then follow down the path to the Yorkville Rosati’s Pizza and Pub to join the party from 10:00am-1:00pm with live music, food, and drinks available!
