Have you read the latest edition of The Hub - YPL's Magazine about the People in Your Neighborhood? The Hub, Issue 2: Fall 2025 - https://tinyurl.com/ewsehzpa Last year we did some soul searching (with the help of a strategic planner and community survey), the people spoke, and they wanted us to be "a hub" for the community - a place where anyone in the community can come for information, entertainment, social gatherings, to share ideas, make friends...That's why we are calling our new digital magazine The Hub! It's about more than just the library, it features cool local happenings, highlight people with interesting hobbies, talents, and stories and essentially, introduce you to some of the incredible people in our community. To subscribe to The Hub and receive each issue in your email quarterly, sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/4ernttfj. If you have any ideas for future issues of The Hub or know anyone who we should feature (local authors, poets, artists, musicians, small business owners, photographers, etc.), contact Mike Curtis, the Director of Adult Services at mcurtis@yorkville.lib.il.us

NEW Mini Golf Committee – Volunteers NeededFor 15 winters, the Yorkville Public Library has magically transformed into an 18-hole indoor mini golf course. Hundreds of families have made memories here, escaping the cold, trying for that elusive hole-in-one, meeting beloved mascots, and marveling at the creative decorations. The event has been lovingly run by The Friends of the Yorkville Public Library, a small but mighty group of volunteers who’ve poured their hearts into making this day magical. But after 15 years, they’re ready to pass the torch. The physical and mental demands have grown too much, and unless new volunteers step forward, this past winter may be the last time the library echoes with the sound of bouncing golf balls and kids' laughter. The Good News: YOU CAN HELP! We just need a small group of maybe 6-10 energetic, community minded Yorvillians to help us form a new Mini Golf Committee. • A full "playbook" of instructions already exists. • All Mini Golf materials are ready to go. • We just need you, your fresh ideas, and your desire to save this treasured community tradition. Want to learn more? Want to get involved? Contact: Mike Curtis, Director of Adult Services - mcurtis@yorkville.lib.il.us Let’s keep the tradition alive! For our kids, our grandkids and the community we love!
