EASTER EGG-STRAVAGANZA - Saturday, April 5 · $10/child 

The hunt is on for an EGG-cellent adventure at Town Square Park (301 N Bridge St, Yorkville) on Saturday, April 5! Families will have a hoppin’ good time as they hunt for eggs (maximum of 10 eggs/child) and visit with the Easter Bunny! Plus, each child attending will receive an activity bag with crafts, activities, and candy to continue the fun at home! The event costs $10/child. 

Two sessions to choose from this year: 

  • Session 1 begins at 9am
  • Session 2 begins at 10:30am

Pickleball Courts Now Open – Time to Serve Up Some Fun!

Spring is here, and it’s the perfect time to try something new! Pickleball, the fun and fast-growing sport, is sweeping the nation—and Yorkville is ready for you to join the action. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-time player, we’ve got you covered. You can enjoy pickleball at Rotary Park (2775 Grande Trail) and Raintree Park B (872 Prairie Crossing Drive), where four pickleball courts are painted on the tennis courts. The nets are set up and waiting for you to smash those serves! And don't forget, you'll find the rules of pickleball displayed at the entrance to the courts at Rotary Park. For tennis enthusiasts, no worries! The nets at Raintree Park B can easily be adjusted for a classic tennis match. City parks are open every day from sunrise to sunset, so grab your paddle and head out for some fun.

Book Your Table: A Table Scape Fundraiser for our Community! Saturday, April 5th at the Yorkville Public Library – Tickets Required ($10/person)!

Join us at the Yorkville Public Library on April 5 to enjoy beautiful, creatively decorated tables designed by community members. All proceeds from this event benefit local charities, organizations, and the Library. Participants will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite table and support their favorite charities too!  Tickets are available now, in person at the Circulation Desk inside the Yorkville Public Library and will also be available at the door on the day of the event. Please contact the Yorkville Public Library directly with any questions about this event.

Youth Summer Basketball League Registration Opens March 26th – April 9th!

Youth Summer Basketball League Registration Now Open

Looking to improve your basketball skills before the Winter Season? The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department will begin accepting registration from March 26th – April 9th for the Youth Summer Basketball League!  This condensed league is designed to teach children the fundamentals of basketball. There will be a 5-game schedule with games played on Wednesday nights starting June 11th and concluding July 16th. Volunteer coaches are needed for teams. The registration fee includes a t-shirt, medal, and gym supervision. Please note the specific registration dates listed. Divisions are based on the 2024-2025 school year.

PLEASE NOTE: the kindergarten-3rd/4th Grade divisions will have a 30-minute practice and 30-minute game for the first two weeks, while all other divisions will have a 60-minute game every week. Players will be notified of their team assignment and schedule by Monday, June 2nd.
