Margaritas en Mayo! Thursday, May 23rd from 5-9pm at Riverfront Park

The Yorkville Parks & Recreation Department is excited to kick off the Summer on Thursday, May 23 with Margaritas en Mayo! This family-friendly fiesta will incorporate traditional Mexican music and performances as downtown Yorkville transforms into Yorkville's very own Margaritaville!  Join us for an evening of Mariachi bands, dancing, family activities and more as we celebrate the arrival of Summer! PLUS! The Yorkville Bilingual Parents Advisory Council (BPAC) is hosting their annual Parents Day Picnic in conjunction with Margaritas en Mayo from 5:00-7:30pm at Riverfront Park!  Food and drink specials will be available throughout Downtown Yorkville for families to taste and enjoy throughout the event! Due to Memorial Day on Monday, May 27th, garbage pick-up will be delayed by one day. For example, if your garbage normally is collected on Monday, it will be collected on Tuesday instead. Normal Friday pick-up will be Saturday. Please call Groot at 630-892-9294 with any questions.

What's A Foam Party?

Foam Party All Stars fills the designated area with a mountain of tiny bubbles that are biodegradable, hypo-allergenic and dye-free with a state-of-the-art foam cannon. Participants should wear anything they are comfortable getting wet in including swimsuits or t-shirt and shorts. Goggles are also preferred by some.

As a reminder during May-September, lawn watering is only permitted between the hours of 5 and 9 a.m. and/or 9 p.m. and midnight for landscaping watering or the filling of swimming pools.
