Looking for a fun way to stay warm while you get out of the house? Look no further than the Yorkville Public Library Mini Golf FUN Raiser on Sunday, February 4 from 10am-4pm! With 18 uniquely themed holes of mini golf played inside the library, this event will have golfers of all ages swinging for joy. At only $5 per golfer for one round of mini golf, it's an affordable way to have a blast while supporting a great cause. All proceeds from the event go towards purchasing books for the library and funding free programs at the library throughout the year through the Friends of the Yorkville Public Library. Don't miss out on this opportunity to have a great time while supporting your local library. Join us for some fun and get ready to golf for a great cause! Individual tickets are required for each golfer. Each ticket is good for one player to enjoy one round of mini golf. Additional mini golf tickets and raffle tickets can be purchased in-person at the Yorkville Public Library before and during the event. All ticket sales are final for the Mini Golf FUN Raiser. The first 2 weeks of January, Groot will collect Christmas trees at the curb on your garbage collection day. Collection is free of charge and trees do not require a sticker, but they do need to be free of all ornaments, tinsel, garland, and lights.

Registration Opens on January 11th for Youth In-House Recreation Baseball and Softball Leagues!

The Spring In-House League is designed to give children the opportunity to play baseball and softball by experiencing both practice and game play. Players should expect games to be primarily held on Saturdays with the possibility of weeknight games (Monday-Thursday) as well. Teams will be designed to distribute age and experience levels amongst teams, volunteer coaches will be needed. The spring season is focused on skill improvement, learning the rules of the game, and to build a desire to keep playing into the future. Snow Parking Regulations

Snow Parking Regulations

Parking on city streets in the United City of Yorkville is prohibited after a snowfall of more than 2 inches. Residents are reminded that parking is banned for 24 hours after the snowfall has ended. Any vehicles parked on city streets are in violation of a city ordinance and may receive a $50 citation.  Also, please do not allow children to play in snow piles left by snowplows on the sides of street or in cul-de-sacs. Building forts in these areas can have serious consequences when snow removal equipment is in use. Thank you for your cooperation during these winter months.

City Offices Closed, Monday, January 15th 

City Offices will be closed on Monday, January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Garbage service will run without interruption.
