City offices will be closed on Monday, February 20^th for the Presidents Day Holiday. Garbage services will not be interrupted and will run on a normal schedule.

Winter Read BINGO 2023! Now through February 28^th at the Yorkville Library

Join the Yorkville Library’s Youth Services Department for this year’s Winter Read Bingo! How do you play? Easy! Stop by the library to pick up your BINGO card, choose a reading challenge from the BINGO card, complete the reading, and mark the box. Each BINGO (5 in a row) you complete, you will earn one ticket for a prize! Each participant can earn a maximum of 5 raffle tickets. Return your BINGO cards before March 1 to be entered into the prize drawing. Happy Reading!

Free technology classes available through the Library: Computer Basics for Seniors Wednesdays · 10:00am at the Yorkville Library Board Room

Expand your technology skills and pick up some new ones through free classes offered through the Yorkville Public Library’s Adult Services Department! Computer Basics for Seniors - Each Wednesday at 10:00am, Computer Basics for Seniors covers a new topic through hands-on teaching! Laptops are provided for use during class. Each class is designed to help you feel more comfortable using and navigating your laptop or desktop computer and allows for you to ask questions of the instructor while you practice your skills! February’s classes include Word Formatting (2/15), and Word Editing (2/22). Advanced registration is required as there are a limited number of laptops available for use. Art and Poetry, February 25 · 1:00pm at the Yorkville Public Library, Michelle Pfister Meeting Room

Join us on a journey through the perspective of a total of 12 individual poets and artists! This event began as an experiment back in January of 2022 when a poet submitted an original poem to serve as inspiration. In February, an artist created a piece of art inspired by that poem. In March, a different poet crafted a poem based on the February art, and so on throughout the year. Join us on February 25^th as the poets and artists will read and reveal their work for the first time! Will the theme remain the same throughout? We can't wait to see! Future Foxes Preschool – 2023/2024 Program Registration, Now Open!

We are excited to announce the details for the 2023-2024 Preschool Program! Future Foxes Preschool focuses on your child’s overall developmental needs by providing a stimulating environment through hands-on experiences that improve creativity, develop a positive self-image, foster language, science, and mathematics development, and sharpen fine and gross motor skills. Your child will discover play and sharing while developing emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually. The curriculum is based off the Yorkville School District 115 standards and designed to prepare children for a successful transition to Kindergarten while fostering a love for school and learning. Ready Set Go Program – 2023/2024 Program Registration, Now Open!

Is your child not quite ready for Preschool? No problem! The Ready Set Go Program is designed to introduce children, ages 2-3, to the daily and weekly routine of preschool. Class will focus on the children’s overall developmental needs by providing a stimulating environment through hands-on experiences and play. The daily curriculum is based on the Future Foxes Preschool but adapted to meet the needs of this age group. Our goal is to create a welcoming and safe space for your child to confidently grow socially and emotionally with their peers while reinforcing basic educational skills including letter, number, color, and shape recognition.
