Future Foxes Preschool 23/24 Registration Information

We are excited to announce the details for the 2023-2024 Preschool Program! Future Foxes Preschool focuses on your child’s overall developmental needs by providing a stimulating environment through hands-on experiences that improve creativity, develop a positive self-image, foster language, science, and mathematics development, and sharpen fine and gross motor skills. Your child will discover play and sharing while developing emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually. The curriculum is based off the Yorkville School District 115 standards and designed to prepare children for a successful transition to Kindergarten while fostering a love for school and learning. Registration for current students began Monday, January 9 at 8am and all new students on Monday, January 23. Ready Set Go! 23/24 Registration Information

Is your child not quite ready for Preschool? No problem! The Ready Set Go Program is designed to introduce children, ages 2-3, to the daily and weekly routine of preschool. Class will focus on the children’s overall developmental needs by providing a stimulating environment through hands-on experiences and play. The daily curriculum is based on the Future Foxes Preschool but adapted to meet the needs of this age group. Our goal is to create a welcoming and safe space for your child to confidently grow socially and emotionally with their peers while reinforcing basic educational skills including letter, number, color, and shape recognition. Registration Now Open for Youth In-House Recreation Baseball and Softball Leagues!

The Spring In-House League is designed to give children the opportunity to play baseball and softball by experiencing both practice and game play. Players should expect games to be primarily held on Saturdays with the possibility of weeknight games (Monday-Thursday) as well. Teams will be designed to distribute age and experience levels amongst teams, volunteer coaches will be needed. The spring season is focused on skill improvement, learning the rules of the game, and to build a desire to keep playing into the future. Stress Management and Mindfulness, January 25th from 1pm – 2pm at the Yorkville Public Library

Join the Yorkville Public Library for another free one-hour program presented by Northwestern Medicine! This program is designed to help you learn about stress and the effect it can have on health. You will learn how to develop strategies to manage stress through diet, exercise, and lifestyle modifications. Participants will gain insight into mindful eating and the tools to apply that process to everyday life. Mini Golf FUN Raiser at the Yorkville Public Library on Sunday, February 5, 2023 · 11am-4pm · $5 per golfer

Get ready for the annual Mini Golf FUN Raiser! The Yorkville Public Library, in partnership with the Friends of the Yorkville Library, are excited to be planning the Mini Golf FUN Raiser. Come out to the Library (902 Game Farm Rd) for 18 uniquely themed holes of mini golf inside the Yorkville Library! Each hole is sponsored by a local business or family, and decorated by that business, family, or a non-profit from the community! Event tickets are $5 per golfer and are available now at the Circulation Desk during library hours. The annual raffle will be held in conjunction with the mini golf event. Come take a sneak peek at the raffle prizes at the Yorkville Library throughout the month of January! Raffle tickets will be available beginning in January ($1 each or $5 for 6 tickets). We will also have our Characters for a Cause coming to entertain the children while waiting to golf. You can find Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, and DC characters walking around interacting with everyone and giving an opportunity for a photo op. This is one of the 2 large fund raisers that the Friends sponsor for the Library each year. The money earned from the event goes back to the library for the purchase of new books and to fund special programs, materials, and services for library patrons and the community. Art and Poetry, February 25 · 1:00pm at the Yorkville Public Library, Michelle Pfister Meeting Room

Join us on a journey through the perspective of a total of 12 individual poets and artists!

This event began as an experiment back in January of 2022 when a poet submitted an original poem to serve as inspiration. In February, an artist created a piece of art inspired by that poem. In March, a different poet crafted a poem based on the February art, and so on throughout the year. Join us on February 25^th as the poets and artists will read and reveal their work for the first time! Will the theme remain the same throughout? We can't wait to see!
