Police National Night Out, Tuesday August 2nd at Beecher Park from 5:30pm – 8pm

Join the Yorkville Police Department in this community event on Tuesday, August 2 at Beecher Park! The evening will be filled with small family activities including a Touch-A-Truck, music, Paw Patrol Training, and Meet & Greets with Paw Patrol’s Chase & Marshall! Homeplate Hot Dogs will be selling:
Hot Dogs for $2
Brats for $2.50
Chips and Drinks for $0.50
The Yorkville Police Department will also be available for Meet & Greets as well as serving cold tasty treats to the community (while supplies last)!

Cruise Night, Wednesday, August 3rd from 5 – 8pm at Riverfront Park 

Take a walk down memory lane as you view classic cars and listen to music along the Fox River! Interested in bringing your classic car? Simply arrive to the park around 5pm, park and have your chance at winning the Best in Show (Car & Truck Categories) for the night! Pre-registration is not required, and day-of registration is free. Oswego/Yorkville Back to School Bash, Thursday, August 4th from 2 – 5pm at Venue 1012

Yorkville and Oswego have collaborated to bring you one last party before summer officially ends!  Join us for an afternoon filled with a live DJ, family activities, food and raffles!  Also, be sure to come back for a FREE CONCERT featuring Springbrook’s Oswego Pops Orchestra featuring your favorite Disney tunes from 7:30-9:00pm!  For more information contact the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department at Recreation@yorkville.il.us. Kindergarten & Girls Basketball League Registration Approaching! REGISTER: AUGUST 9 – 26

GIRL’S BASKETBALL IS BACK THIS WINTER! These leagues are designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball in a fun recreational environment. Skills that will be focused on include dribbling, shooting, passing, offense and defense. There will be a 7-game schedule with games played on Saturdays. Games will not be made up in the event of a weather cancellation. Practices will be held once a week at night (Monday-Thursday) with the day and time dependent on the coach. The registration fee includes a t-shirt, medal, and gym supervision. This co-ed league is designed to teach kindergarteners the fundamentals of basketball in a fun recreational environment. Each Saturday will feature a scrimmage against another team in the program! The registration fee includes a t-shirt, medal, and gym supervision. Please note the Boys Basketball League will take place at the start of 2023 with registration being held in 2022.
