JOIN THE EXCITEMENT & CREATE A SCARECROW!
Coming this October! The Scarecrow Walk is returning, and we want YOU to show off your ingenuity by submitting a scarecrow! Participation is encouraged and welcomed by individuals, families, and companies. Scarecrows may be simple, extravagant, frightening, or whimsical — have fun with it! Please keep in mind that all scarecrows must be family friendly. The Scarecrow Walk will be available during the month of October in the woods on the Eastern edge of Riverfront Park (131 E Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville). 
If interested, send your design proposals to recreation@yorkville.il.us for approval and additional information on how to participate. All scarecrows must be dropped off to the Recreation Office (201 W Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville) on Monday, September 27.

Flags of Valor

The Yorkville American Legion Post 489 invites you to honor our nation and all of the veterans who have served with the 2021 Yorkville Flags of Valor as American flags are displayed at Town Square during the week of Veterans Day.  A flag can be sponsored for $30 and will include a keepsake ribbon and personalized tag to honor a veteran (optional). Flags will be displayed at Town Square (301 N Bridge, Yorkville) starting Monday, November 1 through Thursday, November 11. This is an opportunity to recognize and honor a veteran in your life or support the hundreds of veterans in Yorkville and Kendall County. Everyone is welcome to participate. All proceeds will be donated to the Yorkville American Legion Post 489.  The support form is attached for your use.
