Letters to Santa

Letters to Santa

Santa is checking his list and wants to hear from YOU this Holiday Season!  Santa is now accepting letters at the official Santa Claus drop box located at the Yorkville Recreation Administration Office (201 W Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville) through Wednesday, December 16.  Santa will read your letter and respond by Wednesday, December 23!  Please make sure all letters include the child’s name, age and address to ensure Santa can send his letter back.
Please note, Letters to Santa will only be accepted at the Official Drop Box located in the front of the Recreation Administration Building – mailed in letters will not be accepted.  Replies will only be sent back to individual families.  Large groups or school submissions will not receive replies. For questions or more information, please contact the Recreation Department at Recreation@yorkville.il.us.

Snow Parking Regulations

Parking on city streets in the United City of Yorkville is prohibited after a snowfall of more than 2 inches. Residents are reminded that parking is banned for 24 hours after the snowfall has ended. Any vehicles parked on city streets are in violation of a city ordinance and may receive a $50 citation.  Also, please do not allow children to play in snow piles left by snow plows on the sides of street or in cul-de-sacs. Building forts in these areas can have serious consequences when snow removal equipment is in use. Thank you for your cooperation during these winter months.
