New Playgrounds!
Autumn Creek North Playground & Caledonia Park

On behalf of Mayor Purcell, the City Council and the Parks Staff, we are proud to present Yorkville's newest playgrounds at Autumn Creek North Park and Caledonia Park!
Autumn Creek North Park is located at 1397 Slate Drive. It has a nature themed playground for children ages 5-12.  This playground features multiple slides with climbers and play panels both elevated and ground level. This park has belt swings, bucket swings and an inclusive swing for all abilities.  Also, one of the greatly unknown features of this park is that it serves as a trial head and sits adjacent to the City’s 90-acre Blackberry Creek Nature Area. The trail starts out as a paved trail and leads to a chipped and mowed grass trail that wind through the south half of the nature area.
The Caledonia Park playground is located at 354 Shadow Wood Drive. This explorer theme playground is designed for children ages 5-12 and features multiple slides, climbers and an orbital web climber that connects to the main play structure with a net climber!  This park also features several swings including belt swings, bucket swings and an inclusive swing for all abilities.
Both of these parks follow the CPSC safety guidelines for playgrounds and exceeds the ADA requirements.  We encourage all residents to get out and enjoy these newly installed parks!
