Yorkville 4th of July Celebration!

The celebration will be on Thursday, July 4th at Town Square (301 N. Bridge, Yorkville).
Parade: You do not need to inform the committee of your participation within the parade. All floats should show up at the Yorkville High School the morning of the parade starting at 7:30am.  The parade begins at 9am!  The Parade Route is listed below:
Parade route: Game Farm Rd, Somonauk Street, King Street, West Main Street, Church Street and will end at the water tower.
Town Square Activities: The activities begin immediately after the parade and end at Noon. Activities will include children's foot races, rides, water fights, and a performance by the Yorkville Community Band.  Food and drink will be available for purchase. 
Fireworks: The fireworks will begin at dusk and will be shot off near the corner of Rt 47 and Countryside Pkwy.  The Yorkville Big Band will also be performing at 8:00pm at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home.

Due to Fourth of July on Wednesday, garbage pick-up will be delayed by one day this week. For example, if your garbage normally is collected on Thursday, it will be collected on Friday instead. Call Advanced Disposal at 630-587-8282 with any questions.

Yorkville River Fest - July 12th and 13th

Yorkville River Fest - July 12th & 13th 

Join the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department and the Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce for the 2019 Yorkville River Fest scheduled for Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 at Riverfront Park (131 E Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville IL).  The Yorkville River Fest is a family-friendly festival providing fun all weekend long including delicious food, live country music, family activities, craft beer tastings and more!  Don’t miss out on this year’s county music line-up including Back Country Roads on Friday, July 12th from 7:00-10:00pm, and on Saturday, July 13th with Nashville Electric Company from 3:00-6:00pm and Whiskey Romance headlining from 7:00-10:00pm.  The Knights of Columbus will also be in attendance all weekend long serving their award-winning ribs!  For a complete schedule of events to go www.yorkville.il.us/riverfest or www.yorkvillechamber.org
