Memorial Day Service May 27th

Memorial Day Service - May 27th, 11:30 am at Town Square Park

The Yorkville American Legion is inviting all area residents to attend the Annual Memorial Day service starting at 11:30 am on Monday, May 27th in Town Square Park (301 N. Bridge Street).  The ceremony will feature the reading of names printed on the Memorial and will feature music by the Yorkville Middle School Band, and several speakers.  At the park, there will be a Parks and Recreation tent where the public will have a sponsorship opportunity for the Flags of Valor display for Veteran’s Day.  Please visit our website for more information on the 2019 Flags of Valor at: https://www.yorkville.il.us/662/Flags-of-Valor

City office's Closed - Memorial Day May 27th

City offices will be closed Monday, May 27th for Memorial Day.  Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, May 28th.

Advanced Disposal 1 Day Delay Week of May 27th

Garbage Pick-Up Delayed 1 Day the Week of May 27th 

Due to Memorial Day on Monday May 28th, garbage pick-up will be delayed by one day. For example, if your garbage normally is collected on Monday, it will be collected on Tuesday instead. Normal Friday pick-up will be Saturday. Please call Advanced Disposal at 630-587-8282 with any questions.

As a reminder during May-September, lawn watering is only permitted between the hours of 5 and 9 a.m. and/or 9 p.m. and midnight for landscaping watering or the filling of swimming pools. Ron Clark Park

Park Snapshot - Ron Clark Park

Ron Clark Park is located at 106 E Main St. This nature area is enclosed by a canopy of trees. Visitors can rest and relax under the newly added shelter. The outskirts of the park provide a great fishing spot with access to the Fox River. Features include: a gazebo shelter, trails, and a walking trail along the Fox River.    As the weather gets warmer we hope everyone gets outside and enjoys Yorkville’s parks!
