United City of Yorkville Art in City Hall Program

The United City of Yorkville is enhancing the awareness of art in the community through the Art in City Hall program. Whether you are a novice or seasoned veteran, the City's Community Relations Office is seeking artists for a series of exhibits. The program strives to provide a variety of mediums and techniques including ceramics, collage, drawings, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, photography, prints, sculpture, stationery, wood and paper.

Exhibits are featured several times a year and are on display

for a two to three month period in the City Hall Council Chambers at 800 Game Farm Road, Yorkville. Public exhibit viewing is available between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in the City Hall Council Chamber at 800 Game Farm Road.

We are currently seeking artists, schools, or organizations that  would like to submit their artwork for review to do a future exhibit in City Hall. Interested artists or organizations may be considered by submitting a CD-Rom of four to five original works or art, a resume, and an artist's/organizational statement. The United City of Yorkville will provide

publicity including press releases, radio advertising and a feature story.

To submit artwork, please fill out the application form and either fax to the attention of Glory Spies, Community Relations Officer at 630.553.7575 or e-mail to gspies@yorkville.il.us. Upon acceptance we require you to complete and submit an agreement policy, consignment contract and an art inventory list of all art work that will be on display.
