Veolia Environmental Refuse Pick-up and Information Refuse rates The United City of Yorkville's refuse contractor is Veolia Environmental Services. The refuse rate in the United City of Yorkville is $20.87 ($41.74/60 days) per single family or duplex unit. Per the city's contract with Veolia beginning May 1, 2011 the refuse rate will be $21.50 ($43/60 days). The senior citizen rate is .50 cents ($1 per billing cycle). Residents are billed on a two-month cycle. The minimum bill for a two-month period is $147.79. The minimum bill for a two-month period for Grande Reserve residents is $71.68. For senior citizens the two-month minimum utility bill is $107.05. Under the city's refuse agreement with Veolia Environmental Services each residence is allowed to put out one 65-gallon Veolia Environmental refuse cart (green), one 65-gallon recycling cart (blue) and one large household item on the regular pick up day only (such as a couch, chair, or mattress) will be collected weekly without a pre-paid sticker. Carts are provided by Veolia Environmental Services. Residents may exchange their 65-gallon refuse cart for either a 35-gallon or 95-gallon refuse cart at an additional cost of $5/per month billed directly to the residents. All refuse should be placed out for collection by 6 a.m. on the designated collection day. Please note that Veolia Environmental Services have co-collect trucks that accommodate both refuse and recycling items. These trucks have separate compartments for these items and are not combining recycling items with refuse. Monday: S.E. of the river, S.W. of the river, Greenbriar, White Oak Estates, River's Edge, Prairie Gardens and Cornerstone Tuesday: Country Hills, Crooked Creek, Fox Highlands, Raintree Village, Wildwood, Windett Ridge and Sunflower Estates Wednesday: Countryside Center, Cimmeron Ridge, Fox Hill, Kylyn's, Whispering Meadows Thursday: Autumn Creek, Blackberry Creek, Cannonball Estates, Grande Reserve, Prairie Meadows, Bristol Bay and Caledonia Friday: Heartland, Longford Lakes, N.E. of the river south of Rt. 34, N.W. of the river south of Rt. 34. Who do I call if I am missed? If you are missed on your regular pick up day, contact Veolia Environmental Services at 630.587.8282. Additional Guidelines: Additional refuse containers may not exceed 32-gallons in size or 50 pounds in weight. Carpeting is considered a bulk item, however it must be cut and rolled in 4-foot lengths. Each roll must be tied and not weigh more than 50 pounds. Up to 4 rolls will be accepted as one bulk item. The following items will not be accepted during weekly collection:

White Goods pick up guidelines: Veolia Environmental Services will conducts two White Goods pick ups, one in the spring and one in the fall. White Good items consist of refrigerators/freezers, water heaters, stoves, air conditioners, humidifiers, clothes dryers, washers, microwaves, dishwashers, heat pumps, furnaces and boilers. Please note that all White Goods items must be on the curb by 6:00 a.m. Only one pass will be made. The following materials will not be accepted: auto parts, large construction waste, swimming pools, decks, sheds, chemicals, paints or drums. Veolia Environmental holiday schedule: Veolia Environmental Services will observe the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please note that service will be delayed one day following any of the holidays listed above. Yard Waste pick up is April 1 to November 30 of every year:
