IDOT's US 34 Roadway Reconstruction Project

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) held an Open House on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 regarding the planned reconstruction of US 34 from Eldamain Road to Center Parkway in Yorkville. The public comment period on this project ends on July 15, 2014. Plans regarding this project are on display in City Hall and are available for download using the links below.

NOTE: These plans are preliminary drawings and will be further refined after the public comments have been analyzed.

B.U.I.L.D. Program

REMINDER: IDOT District 3 would like to remind Yorkville motorists that there are no left turns allowed southbound on IL 47 onto Hydraulic Street and there are no left turns allowed northbound on IL 47 onto River Road. Violators may be subject to fines. Drive safely and have a nice holiday.  click here

Yorkville Police Department National Night Out

Beecher Center


The Yorkville Police Department in partnership with Target, Yorkville Parks and Recreation, Bristol- Kendall Fire Department, Yorkville Citizen Police Academy Alumni, and Home Plate Hot Dogs will be taking part in the 31st annual "National Night Out" celebration on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local crime prevention programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Enjoy fun events for all family members at the Beecher Center (908 Game Farm Road) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Residents are asked to join us and spend the evening outside with their neighbors and police officers, Fire and EMS and volunteers. Outdoor Movie Night

Raintree Castle Park

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department would like to invite you to see our outdoor movie featuring Despicable Me 2 on Thursday, August 7 at Raintree Castle Park (872 Prairie Crossing Dr, Yorkville). Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, family and friends, and watch a free movie on the 30-foot inflatable movie screen! The movie will start at dusk typically around 9:00pm.
