Honor Someone Special
The United City of Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department has two opportunities available to help you honor that special someone in your life - our Tree Dedication Program and Name a Park.
Tree Dedication Program
Every now and again we face the dilemma of how to pay special tribute to our friends and relatives who seem to have everything. And then there are those times we can't decide what to do in lieu of flowers.
We have a solution for you! You can honor that special person through our tree dedication/memorial program. This is a meaningful and convenient way to remember and recognize that special person in your life.
As a part of the program, we will inform the honoree(s) or relative(s) of the honor you are bestowing upon them with a letter recognizing your contribution, and a tree planted with a commemorative plaque in one of the designated parks within the United City of Yorkville.
For more information about the tree dedication/memorial program contact the Parks Department at 630.553.4358. You can also fill out the Tree Dedication application and mail or stop by the Parks and Recreation office at the REC Center at 202 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, with your completed form.
Name a Park
There are several parks that still need naming. If you have an idea or a name you can fill out the Park Naming application and mail or stop by the Parks and Recreation office at the REC Center at 202 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville with your completed form.
