Parks and Recreation Program Overview

The United City of Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of recreational and education programs for preschool children, youth, teens and seniors. From softball for adults, puppy kindergarten to creative dance, we have something for everyone. You can learn a new craft, join a fitness class and volunteer your time at one of our many special events.

The Parks and Recreation Department also sponsors many events including Music Under the Stars, Outdoor Movies, Farmers' Market, Ribs on the River BBQ Event, Illinois Whitewater Festival, the Halloween Egg Hunt, Hometown Days Festival and Holiday Under the Stars..

Our programs are located at various facilities in Yorkville including the Yorkville Intermediate School, Yorkville Middle School, Yorkville Grade School, Circle Center School, Bristol Grade School, Yorkville Congregational Church, New Life Church, Cross Lutheran Church, Recreation Building located by the Riverfront Park and the REC Center.

• Registrations received in person, first day of registration will receive top priority; all others will be processed in the order received. REGISTRATION MUST BE MADE WITH PAYMENT
• LATE FEE: There is a $10 late registration fee (when payment is made after the start of the class)
• NSF FEE: There is a $25 fee for any returned check.
