Clerk's Office

The Clerk's Office of the United City of Yorkville maintains the centralized records, files and information concerning the Freedom of Information Act. Under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, all public records not exempt under Section 7 of the Act must be made available for inspection or copying. In order to do this, it may be necessary to complete a Freedom of Information Act Request form that is also available by calling City Hall. The Clerk's Office will respond to the request within five business days. Fees for the reproduction and certifying of the public records may be charged. Any questions regarding the Freedom of Information Act or requests for public records should be directed to the United City of Yorkville Clerk's Office at 800 Game Farm Road, Yorkville, IL, 60560 or you can call to request a form at 630.553.8531.

All United City of Yorkville ordinances are codified to our Code Book with the exception of ordinances regarding annexation, rezoning, variances, bond issues and the annual budget.

Notary Services
Free notary services are available at City Hall during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. You can call City Hall to verify that a notary is available.

  • Please bring a photo ID and your unsigned document with you.
  • Documents must be signed in the presence of a notary.
  • Please note that the City will NOT notarize any documents involving the conveyance of residential property.
