Building Code Enforcement

The Department of Building Safety is responsible for the enforcement of the Building Codes, Fire Prevention Codes, Property Standards Codes, and Local Ordinances. The Department oversees the issuance of building permits and the inspections of construction projects and all other enforcement actions necessary to ensure compliance with all of the codes and ordinances of the City. The Department also works with the developers, contractors, property owners and residents to maximize protection of public health and safety.
