E-Waste Recycling

Yorkville's Public Works facility now accepts recycled electronics through a new agreement with Com2 Computers and Technologies LLC. Under the agreement, Yorkville residents can dispose of electronic products and materials by dropping off items in the plastic box located at the city's Public Works facility located at 610 Tower Lane. More information is available by calling Yorkville's Public Works Department at 630.553.4370.

  • Items Accepted:
    Items accepted at no additional charge to residents include the following: Calculators, cell phones, portable music players, CD and tape players, radios, boom boxes, speakers, computer laptops, computer notebooks, desktop computers, computer monitors (CRT and LCD), printers, copiers, VCRs, DVD players, televisions, telephones, microwaves, and other standard household electronic devices.
  • Facility hours:
    Residents may simply drop off the materials at the Public Works facility at 610 Tower Lane during the hours of 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Additional Computer and Electronics Recycling Options

  • Vintage Tech Recyclers of Plainfield, 25503 W. Ruff St. (just off of Wolf's Crossing Rd.) Items can be dropped off free of charge every Monday between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. You must call 815.609.7013 if you would like to drop off items Tuesdays through Friday.
  • Mark Twenty Business Center, 23241 W. Lincoln Highway, Romeoville, IL. This facility accepts cartridges for recharging. Please call 815.436.8787 for fee information.
