*Advanced Disposal Refuse Collection and Pick up Schedule (*formerly Veolia Environmental Services) The current Refuse Rate in the United City of Yorkville is $17.10 ($34.20/60 days) per single family or duplex unit. The senior citizen rate is .50 cents ($1 per billing cycle). Residents are billed on a two-month cycle. The minimum bill for a two-month period is $164.89. For senior citizens the two-month minimum utility bill is $124.15. The minimum bill for a two-month period for Grande Reserve residents is $88.78; $48.04 for seniors. All refuse should be placed out for collection by 6 a.m. on your designated collection day. Advanced Disposal (formerly Veolia Environmental Services) have co-collect trucks that accommodate both refuse and recycling items and are not combining recycling with refuse. A $1 pre-paid sticker is required for each bag or 32-gallon container outside the cart. Pre-paid refuse stickers are sold at the following locations: Ace Hardware, 9620 Rt. 34; Jewel-Osco, 234 Veterans Parkway; Pride Pantry, 302 Bridge Street; and at the United City of Yorkville, City Hall, 800 Game Farm Road. Please note that all White Goods items must be on the curb by 6:00 a.m. Only one pass will be made. The following materials will not be accepted: auto parts, large construction waste, swimming pools, decks, sheds, chemicals, paints or drums.
Brush Pick Up Advanced Disposal provides weekly brush pick up on regular service days in conjunction with yard waste pick up which begins on April 1 and runs through November 30. Please adhere to Advanced Disposal's guidelines for bundled brush as follows:
Yard Waste Pick Up Yard waste is collected from April 1 through November 30. Landscape waste includes grass clippings, leaves, garden waste, flowers, twigs, brush and tree limbs less than 4 inches in diameter and not longer than 4 feet in length. All brush and branches need to be properly contained--bagged, bundled or tied for easy handling. Christmas Tree Disposal Advanced Disposal collects and recycles Christmas trees free of charge the first two weeks in January. Trees will be pick up on resident's regular pick up day only. Any trees left on the curb after the two-week time period expires will require a garbage sticker. |
