Certain proposed projects require public hearings to ensure all residents and interested parties are aware of petitions submitted to the City.  The following is general information regarding current public hearings with links to the public notices:


Kendall Marketplace - PUD (Sign)

Request:  Planned Unit Development (PUD) Agreement Amendment 


Date of Public Hearing:  April 11, 2018 at 7:00 PM 


Summary:  Kendall Holdings I, LLC, petitioner, has filed an application with the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, requesting amendment to the Kendall Marketplace Planned Unit Development to permit an increase in overall sign height by five (5) feet for two (2) existing freestanding business monument signs for the purpose of added tenant panels in the Kendall Marketplace commercial development. The real property is located at 731-795 Erica Lane in Yorkville, Illinois.

Developer Engineering Deposit & Fees (Text Amendment)

Summary:  United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, petitioner, is proposing a text amendment to Section 11-7-1 of the Yorkville Subdivision Control Ordinance regarding engineering review fee escrow deposits for all new construction projects and any development requiring land use approvals including but not limited to a special use, rezoning, planned unit development, annexation, or subdivision, or for those limited scope projects that require a limited scope of engineering review without land use approvals.

Requests:  Annexation Agreement Amendment & Final Plat Amendment

Summary: Michelle and John C. Stewart, petitioners, have submitted an application seeking a third amendment to that certain Annexation Agreement (Prestwick of Yorkville Subdivision) dated April 26, 2005, as amended October 8, 2013 and May 27, 2014, by and among Yorkville Farms Development, LLC. (Owner/Developer), an Illinois Limited Liability Corporation, and the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, on April 10, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall at the United City of Yorkville, 800 Game Farm Road, Yorkville, Illinois for the purpose of amending the requirements for the construction of an access roadway from the Yorkville Christian School site to Ashley Road.

The real property is generally located north of US 34, west of Cannonball Trail, immediately north of Blackberry Shore Lane in Yorkville, Illinois.

Summary:  BAP Power Corporation dba Cenergy Power, petitioner, has filed an application with the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, requesting special use permit approval to install and operate a ground mounted community solar field on approximately 9.69 acres of land consisting of roughly 7,000 solar modules with a maximum height of seven (7) feet at full tilt. The real property is located in the southeast quadrant of Illinois Route 71 and Illinois Route 126 within the Windmill Farms Planned Unit Development in Yorkville, Illinois.

GRNE Solar - Kendall County Government Campus - Solar Farm (Special Use)

Request:  Special Use Permit 


Date of Public Hearing:  TBD 


Summary:  has filed an application with the United City of Yorkville, Kendall County, Illinois, requesting special use permit approval to install and operate a solar farm with more than one freestanding solar energy system on approximately 7.4 acres of land consisting of roughly 6,400 solar modules. The real property, zoned in the O Office District, is located at the southeast corner of John Street and Beecher Road at the Kendall County Government Campus in Yorkville, Illinois.
