Youth/Adult Programs

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department partners with local agencies to hold skills development classes for youth and adults. These classes are held at the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department (201 W Hydraulic Ave,Yorkville) throughout the year. These classes include computer courses, CPR and First Aid Courses, Baby Sitting Courses and much more. Below is a list of classes being offered in the current catalog. New Restorative Yoga

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce our new restorative Yoga Class for older adults at our new facility at 102 E Van Emmon St, Yorkville! This Hatha Yoga class has an enjoyable, yet functional fitness approach that caters to all fitness abilities by allowing participants to stand with a mat or use a chair for stability. Improve your flexibility, strength, and range of motion while reversing the effects of aging through slow deliberate movements and breath control. Participants should bring a yoga mat, towel, and water bottle to class. Preregistration is required and is $30 for residents and $35 for non-residents.
