We are excited to bring back again this year the past favorites such as the Pride and Joy Car Show, the Baby Contest, carnival, and live musical performances. We are currently working on the 2016 band schedule so please check back at a later date for more details. We are also excited to announce the return of a crowd 2015 crowd favorite – The Ultimate Air Dogs Show! About the Festival
The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to offer you a great marketing opportunity during the Hometown Days Festival scheduled for September 2 through September 4.We would like to invite you to be a part of this long standing Yorkville Festival and become a sponsor! The 2016 carnival is provided by DRS Skinner's Amusements. For more information on DRS Skinners' Amusements please visit their website. The carnival will run from 5 pm-10 pm on Friday, September 2nd, 1 pm-10 pm on Saturday, September 3rd, and Noon - 9:30 pm on Sunday, September 4th. Wristband specials will be from 1-5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Wristbands include unlimited rides from 1-5 pm for $20 per rider.
Rush-Copley Family AreaThe Rush-Copley family area will feature bounce houses, Touch-A-Truck and Jacob's Well free comfort station. Come cool off with Jacob's Well or bring your kids for a fun and free time in the bounce houses. The Rush-Copley family area will be open from noon-6pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Ultimate Air Dogs Competition
Enjoy a spectacular show of courage and athletics, from dogs and their owners as they jump off a dock after a Frisbee into a pool of water. Come as a spectator or compete with your own dog! Open jump time is available on Friday, September 2nd from 5-7 pm. The competition will run from Noon-6pm on Saturday, September 3 and 1pm-5pm on Sunday, September 4. Competitor registration is taken online at the Ultimate Air Dogs Website or onsite during the festival. All dogs are welcome; they only have to know how to swim. Join the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department and the Yorkville Public Library for a 5k fun run during the Yorkville Hometown Days Festival. The race will start at 8 AM in the parking lot of the Yorkville Public Library (902 Game Farm Rd, Yorkville). The race will then proceed north to Conover subdivision, then south to town square and then back to library to finish. Please see the race map for a full route of the race. Join the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department for the cutest, crowd favorite. The baby contest is an annual tradition that brings in the youngest of crowds. This year's Baby Contest will be held on Sunday, September 4 at 11am. Come see who has the chubbiest cheeks or the biggest smile at this year's baby contest. The Hometown Days Bags Tournament is a growing tradition that is always a big hit. The tournament features plenty of cash prizes. This year's tournament will be held on Saturday, September 3rd. Registration will be held at noon and the tournament will begin at 1pm. Come compete to see who has the best bag tossing skills. For more information please see the Baggapalooza flier!
Heartland Bank New Brew ReviewCome out and taste a variety of craft beers from Cademon Brewery and Exit Strategy on Saturday, September 3rd from 1pm until 5pm. The tasting will cost $25 per couple or $15 an individual and includes eight tastes and one-eight ounce pour and a souvenir glass per person. This year's tasting will feature craft beers from Cademon Brewery and Exit Strategy Brewery. For more information please see the event flier.

Yorkville Junior Women's Club Craft Show
Edward-Elmhurst Health, Healthy Driven Pride and Joy Car Show
The Pride and Joy Car Show brings in over 100 cars annually. The show is hosted by a live DJ and features classic cars of a variety of makes and models. The 2016 Edward-Elmhurst Health, Healthy Driven Pride and Joy Car Show will be held from 9am-2pm on Sunday, September 4th. Each car entered in the show is put into a specific category based on make, model, the year it was manufactured, and if it has had any alterations.To pre-register for the Pride and Joy Car Show please complete the registration form and return it to the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department at 201 W Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville, Illinois, 60560. The 24th annual Hometown Days Committee is currently accepting application for vendors and exhibitors for the 2016 festival. If you are interested in being a vendor or exhibitor please download and complete the vendor application. Completed applications with payment can be returned to the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department(201 W Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville, Illinois, 60560) or emailed to Shay email@example.com. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee entrance into the festival. Once received applications will be reviewed by the Hometown Days Committee and vendors will receive mail correspondence confirming or denying their acceptance to the festival once a decision is made.
